After days of speculation and more cancellations than one can count, GDC 2020 is officially postponed due to coronavirus fears. The event isn’t canceled, but the ongoing and rapid growth of global coronavirus cases means that its new date won’t be very soon. Finally, that moment has come, as announced on the official GDC website. GDC 2020 was scheduled to take place in March, but it has now been postponed until “later in the summer,” the same busy season that already hosts E3 and San Diego Comic-Con....

Paramount Pictures is now on the verge of releasing its live-action film adaptation of the popular manga/anime series Ghost in the Shell created by Masamune Shirow. Amidst of a slough of controversy over casting Scarlett Johansson as the lead character, Major, the studio continues on the promotion trail to the film’s release date at the end of this March. Ghost in the Shell is definitely not Johansson’s first foray into genre filmmaking, with her staple role as Black Widow across the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her leading roles in films like Lucy having helped to establish her as a star in the sci-fi movie world....

If the Ghost of Tsushima E3 2018 trailer wasn’t convincing enough, SIE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida had nothing but praise for the visuals in Sucker Punch’s samurai action title. It’s been over a year since PlayStation fans last saw Ghost of Tsushima but the trailer that was shown at Sony’s E3 2018 showcase left a lasting impression. The game recreates feudal Japan during the first Mongol invasion in 1274....

Although fans are still hoping for season 2 of the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival A Year In The Life, creator Amy Sherman-Palladino shared the next best thing. According to People, Sherman-Palladino said that several actors from the beloved mother/daughter show will appear in season 5 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Viewers will always want more episodes of Gilmore Girls because while some parts are anything but realistic, there are lots of relatable moments and reasons why fans can see themselves in the stories and characters....

Gmail version 2.0: Google has just released a major update to its Gmail iOS app, introducing multiple account support, a new look that appears to be partly inspired by its Sparrow acquisition, search predictions and much more. The update also brings interactive Google+ posts support, an infinite scroll inbox, new welcome screen, and the ability to respond to Google Calendar invites. Gmail for Android’s dark theme began rolling out at the start of this month. Google today is now making the look official and providing an availability timeline, while also bringing it to iOS. Update 6/5: Last month, Gmail’s dark theme for iOS started widely rolling out with Google’s blog post about the feature from September officially reflecting that: “Dark theme is now fully rolled out in Gmail on mobile devices.”...

In just a few short weeks, Legendary will release a new version of King Kong with Kong: Skull Island. The movie will serve as the second installment in their Monsterverse set to include the Eighth Wonder of the World and Godzilla. The latter has already scored with a successful solo movie, and from the look of Skull Island’s marketing, Warner Bros. is eager to connect the two franchises. In fact, reports have surfaced that Kong’s solo movie will feature a post-credit scene teasing the return of Godzilla in Godzilla: King of Monsters....

I normally do this from Gmail. Click Advanced Tools Scroll to the bottom and under Document ownership transfer, fill in the From: and To: fields. Click Transfer documents to begin the process. Google Apps will send you a notification email once the transfer is completed informing you of how many documents were transferred as well as collection it created to store the transferred documents....

All the way back in May, Google announced that its new Google Music “All Access” service will be arriving on iOS in the coming “weeks.” However, months have gone by and nothing has launched for iOS. A report last month indicated that the app would arrive at the end of October, and @evleaks has now claimed that the launch is “imminent.” If the app does indeed arrive soon, you can expect full coverage on 9to5....

The vast majority of Google’s iOS apps have not been updated since early December. A trio of smaller Google applications saw new versions towards the end of last month, while YouTube for iPhone and iPad was just updated this evening. Following the last YouTube release (15.49.4) on December 7, iPhone owners this evening are seeing version 15.49.6. The release date is officially February 13, making for a very odd weekend update by Google....

Google’s Inbox is now available to everyone and you can get it on iOS, Android or in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox desktop browsers, as well. One of its most important features is the ability to snooze messages. Furthermore, the app can automatically bundle emails together in groups and it’s also connected to a Google Now-style card system so that you can search for important information, such as your flight time....

At the ongoing Recode conference in San Francisco, Sergey Brin, the Google co-founder who heads the Google X group announced this new version of their driverless cars. He says that the program is currently in a prototype phase, but that it plans to build around 100 early versions of the vehicles for testing this summer. The car looks like a modified version of Tata Nano, and will initially include manual controls in case something goes wrong....

We’ve already seen a couple of useful calculator apps for the Apple Watch, but the most recent one, released today, arguably has the coolest interface of them all. Geek Watch takes the design and interface of the classic Casio calculator watch and puts it on the Apple Watch. As you can see in the screenshots above, there’s no Casio branding on the interface due to legal obligations, but nearly everything else is directly inspired by the popular classic calculator watch....

The Star Wars Celebration has gotten underway in Orlando, and the 40th Anniversary celebration panel has already started in style, welcoming George Lucas to the stage in a surprise guest appearance. The panel, hosted by Warwick Davis, first welcomed LucasFilm President, Kathleen Kennedy to the stage, with the audience giving a standing ovation. She then introduced Lucas to the stage, and it’s fair to say the place went nuts. Lucas then sat down with Davis to talk about how the idea for Star Wars came about....

Glee has been off the air now for several years. Show creator Ryan Murphy has moved on to greener pastures with multiple successful series. Yet somehow, Glee still comes up in conversation on an almost regular basis. Even if the show has become something of a joke to some people, it still resonants with many fans.
