Xbox Live was plagued with issues on Thursday and Friday, leaving many unable to play the platform’s latest console-exclusive, Gears 5, which also faced its own post-launch issues. Players subscribing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or who purchased the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition were supposed to have access to the game four days early on top of other premium content included in the package. While they were able to access the game on September 5, many couldn’t get into multiplayer lobbies, group up with friends, or even start the campaign....

Google’s App Indexing technology isn’t exactly the most exciting thing to discuss, but so long as the majority of the company’s revenue still comes from search (it does), it is imperative that they figure out how to make their main business work on mobile where the eyeballs are going. Goldman Sachs has issued another statement on the ongoing allegations of gender bias in Apple Card credit limits. In a new statement this evening, Carey Halio, retail bank CEO of Goldman Sachs, said that the bank will reevaluate credit limits following the allegations. In the statement, Halio emphasized that Goldman Sachs is not aware of your “gender or marital status during the Apple Card application process.” The CEO also noted that Goldman Sachs worked with a third-party to review its “credit decisioning process to guard against unintended biases and outcomes....

Restrict Your Google+ Content by Age and Location The idea is that your content should be able to reach its target audience, even if it’s questionable or for more mature users and not suitable for certain age groups. Or maybe you’re producing content that’s only relevant for a specific region of the world. Either way, this new feature allows for better targeting of your content. You can even specify ages on a country-by-country basis....

First, make sure you have Hidden Files showing. Click Start and type: folder options into the Search box and hit Enter. The Folder Options window comes up. Select the View tab and check Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives. Click OK. Now navigate to: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application Hold down Ctrl on your keyboard and highlight the previous version number and the old_Chrome.exe icon. Click Delete. Google Chrome 70 The major change in Chrome 70 for the user concerned about privacy is it now allows you to turn off linking web-based sign-in and browser-based sign-in. When you turn this off, you won’t be automatically signed into the browser when you log into YouTube, for example. Unfortunately, the auto-login feature is still enabled by default, and you must manually opt-out of it. You can do that by going into the “Privacy and security” section in Settings and turn off the “Allow Chrome sign-in” switch....

Earlier today, Google pushed the stable version of Chrome 57 to Mac, Windows, and Linux users. This means that Chrome 57 for iOS is next around the corner and one of the features that will arrive as part of that update is a Reading List feature similar to that of what’s currently support in Safari… As you can see in the screenshot above, Chrome’s new Reading List feature is accessible from the menu in the upper-right corner....

With the launch of Allo and Duo last year, Google telegraphed that Hangouts would become an enterprise product. Today, the service is being fully revamped into Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet. The former is a Slack-like group chat app, while the latter improves video conferencing. Hangouts Chat is centered around rooms for different projects and groups, with features like threaded conversations. Deep integration with G-Suite allows easy sharing of Drive files, photos, and videos....

In the Smartphone Flagship market, Google’s Pixel always holds a sweet spot in the list. This is due to the device’s superior and outstanding camera performance and other features included in the smartphone. Even with the device’s excellent performance, there are some areas where the device falls behind; this could be minor issues like noticeable frame drops in the UI, heating up of the device sooner than expected, battery drains, etc....

It also responds to thermal pressure and helps iPhones from catching fire. Arriving nine full months following the Windows release in August of last year, the new Cannary for Mac channel is live with pre-developer builds of Chrome. You know what that means: Highly unstable code, features that come and go, potential security-related problems and headache in general. On the upside, however, you’ll get access to experimental new capabilities as they’re being developed, not all of which end up in the developer version or trickle down to beta or stable builds....

Google Photos is one of the Google cloud services for Android devices. The service is almost like Google drive. However, you can only backup and sync photos and videos. Recently Google has announced that they are removing one important feature. With the new update, Google Photos will no longer automatically backup our Social media accounts. This includes Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and other social media apps folder. By default, Google Photos will only back up and sync your camera folder and other native Google apps, also which will be connected to your Google Drive....

According to new information, Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima could release as late as the second half of 2020, apparently in part due to the fact that The Last of Us 2 is getting delayed until spring of that year. Ghost of Tsushima is the one Sony PlayStation exclusive due out over the next year that fans don’t know much about after much of the spotlight has been taken by The Last of Us 2 and Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake....
