The December update began rolling out on December 6, but Google says some customers reported their calls were being dropped or disconnected. The December update was initially slated to include a range of fixes and improvements, including a fix for an issue causing the Google Assistant to unintentionally start a phone call in certain conditions. Customers that already received the December software update and are still dealing with dropped calls will have to use the Android Flash Tool and perform a factory reset to revert to the previous software version....

There are countless Easter eggs hidden throughout Google products, whether they’re online or in various apps. Recently, a new one was discovered within the Google app on iOS that lets you play a pinball/brick breaker game. Hidden within the Google app on iOS is this whimsical pinball game that works both online and off. Yesterday Google updated the way their navigation bar works across some of their services. They’ve streamlined the link tabs on the left side of the bar, and on the right-side there is a new gear button that provides a new drop-menu feature. Have you seen it yet? The old Gmail and Google navigation bar featured a set of underlined links in a bold font. It was the same on both the left and right side....

Today Google has sent out mail to 100,000 of the most popular businesses currently listed in the Google Business Center. Business owners who didn’t automatically receive a sticker can apply for one, but Google will have to determine if the business is eligible to receive it. So far Google’s selection of a business to receive the sticker has been based upon popularity. However, a business Must be signed up and listed with correct information in the Local Business Center to qualify....

Google Currents was meant to improve office water cool chats by connecting superiors with subordinates. It also served as a replacement to Google+, the unpopular social network it shut down in 2018. Google will begin to “wind down” Currents in 2023 and move users’ content over to Spaces. After appearing in a developer build of Chrome last month, Google announced today that this week it will be rolling out Google Now notifications to the desktop through the latest beta version of Chrome. Google Now notifications were previously available to Android and iOS users, but can now be accessed through the Chrome notification center on Mac (that little bell icon in your menu bar) as well as through Chrome on Windows and Chromebooks....
